Fowey, nestled on the River Fowey estuary, is a picturesque
town known for its deepwater harbour, historic buildings, and
literary heritage (Daphne du Maurier fans will feel right at
home). The harbour is well-sheltered and o昀昀ers good mooring
options, whether on visitor buoys or at pontoon berths.
Ashore, stroll through narrow streets lined with independent
boutique shops, enjoy fresh seafood at local pubs, or hike up to
St. Catherine’s Castle for panoramic views of the bay. If you
have time, explore upriver towards Golant and Lostwithiel—
peaceful, winding waters surrounded by woodland.
